In 1925 Cyprus became a crown colony of the UK until Cyprus was given its independence in 1960. In 1974 the Turkish army invaded & took one-third of the Island in the north. Until this date this beautiful island has been split by the two Cypriot & Turkish Cypriot communities. Every ruler mentioned has left their mark on this beautiful Island where visitors today may still see.

In 2004 Cyprus became a full member of The European Union and the Euro currency is used. Cyprus, the island of love, the birthplace of Aphrodite is where dreams come true.
